On the afternoon of May 20th, RCHC invited Dr Chen Zhan to give a special lecture entitled "Are We the Generation Left Behind by AI" at BNBU. The lecture included three stories spanning across time and space, discussing the cognitive limitations in the AI era and the possible direction of human civilization.
In this lecture, which spans theology, art and science, Professor Chen Zhan emphasized that the impact of AI is not only a revolution in technology, but also a process of reconstructing the structure of knowledge. While the value of academic qualifications is being reconsidered and traditional occupations are being replaced, we must also rethink how to innovate in self-understanding and learning. Dr Chen encouraged students not to be easily swept away by the anxiety of "being left behind", but to look for opportunities in chaos and stimulate creativity in this era.
