RCHC welcomes scholars passionate about ancient world

The scholars working at RCHC are co-employed by Beijing Normal University (Zhuhai) and the BNU-HKBU United International College (UIC). Through this double affiliation, they gain access to the academic network and study resources of two supremely well-equipped academic institutions in the mainland China. The teaching is conducted at UIC, which is a growing, forward-looking academic institution that provides world-class English-language instruction relying on its dynamic community of internationally recruited academics.

With convenient access to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Macau and Hong Kong, RCHC offers superb networking opportunities for scholars willing to grow their network of academic connections in China and abroad.

Current Openings
We invite applications from specialists who work on Asia, Africa, and Europe before 1500. Our institution is open to scholars from different disciplines, including history, philosophy, literature, art history, and religious studies. We specifically encourage applicants who have mastered more than one ancient language and who are willing to acquire a working proficiency in Mandarin within 2 years from the start of their appointment. The position involves moderate teaching load (3 courses in 2 terms), and it is designed to provide the applicants a supportive environment to pursue top-quality research.
